Elizabeth Kicko is a certified nurse midwife (CNM). She trained at the University of California, San Diego and received a Masters Degree in Nursing as a Midwife and Nurse Practitioner in 2014 from San Diego State University. Elizabeth started her midwifery career at the in-hospital birth center at the UCSD Medical Center, and at Kaiser Hospital in San Diego. She has also worked for Planned Parenthood across the State of California.

Her family moved to the North Bay in 2016, and she now works with an incredible group of women at a startup called EverNow which is a telemedicine service that helps women who are in or approaching menopause get accessto supported hormonal therapy. CA. She LOVES being a midwife and enjoys practicing in all aspects of women's health from birth to maturity. In addition to working at EverNow, she is the Social Media Director for CNMA (in fact she designed this website!), and also works for Planned Parenthood Northern California Affiliates as a Nurse Practitioner.

Elizabeth recently had a hand in her own delivery, and you can watch the birth of her son, Leo, HERE! She believes that women should empower other women with their birth stories. Elizabeth believes in the midwifery model of care, which embodies evidence-based low intervention care for low risk women. Limited intervention plus family education equals better birth outcomes!
